Meet the artist
Jasmine Bruce is a multidisciplinary artist whose work emphasizes the healing power of creating. Based in Grand Rapids, Michigan she obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Grand Valley State University. Known for her large scale public art and role as an activist within her community, she has been awarded Grand Rapids Business Journal Newsmaker of the Arts and 40 under 40 honoree. Her versatile and powerful style chronicles the story of an untold history rooted in African diaspora, feminine divinity, conscious awareness and mental health. Her work aims to re-member the divine being within all, drawing out pain and restoring balance and connection with the inner, outer and higher self.
